AFC Wimbledon’s League Two match at Fleetwood City this afternoon has been postponed.
The Dons issued a press release on their web site.
It mentioned: “Because of the health of the pitch and surrounding areas being affected by heavy snowfall, a collective determination with the host membership has been made to postpone immediately’s fixture.
“A brand new date will probably be communicated with supporters as quickly as practicable and tickets for the fixture will stay legitimate for the rearranged sport.”
Fleetwood City posted an image of their pitch coated in a blanket of snow.
They mentioned: “Because of the health of the pitch and surrounding space as a result of heavy snowfall on the Fylde Coast throughout Saturday night time into Sunday morning a name was made in session with the EFL and PGMOL.”
Wimbledon are fourth within the desk.
