The Met Workplace has stated that Storm Floris will deliver robust winds and heavy rainfall throughout the northern half of the UK subsequent week.
On Friday the Met Workplace issued a yellow warning for wind for the northern half of the UK, this contains Scotland, northern England, Northern Eire and north Wales.
The warning is available in to pressure from 6am on Monday 4 August till 6am on Tuesday 5 August 2025.
Matthew Lehnert is a Met Workplace Chief Meteorologist stated, “Throughout the warning space, many inland areas are prone to see gusts of 40-50mph, with 60-70mph extra probably at larger elevations and round uncovered coasts in Scotland.
“There’s a small likelihood that some places right here may even document gusts of 85mph.”
