European President set to face yet another no-confidence vote

The President of the European Fee, Ursula von der Leyen, is again in Strasbourg to defend herself towards a no-confidence movement, simply months after her final one.

On Monday night, two motions of no confidence towards the President will likely be debated on the European Parliament, as von der Leyen is ready to defend herself towards each ends of the political spectrum.

The far-right Patriots for Europe group seeks to carry her accountable for her commerce coverage, particularly the EU-Mercosur commerce deal and the EU-US deal. Whereas the Left group will criticise her commerce coverage and accuse her of “complicity in genocide” in Gaza.

France’s Jordan Bardella of the Patriots group and France’s Manon Aubry of The Left have each known as for von der Leyen to step down.

This comes after she survived a separate movement of no-confidence in July over her secret texts with the chief govt of pharmaceutical big Pfizer in 2021.

This led to authorized motion after an MEP sued von der Leyen for alleged defamation over feedback she made throughout her speech on the European Parliament plenary session.

Romanian MEP Gheorghe Piperea, from the right-wing European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR), filed a declare on the EU Courtroom of Justice final month. He seeks ethical damages and an official apology for what he alleges had been defamatory and politically motivated accusations towards him by von der Leyen.

The vote of no confidence towards von der Leyen is scheduled to happen on Thursday.

She is extensively anticipated to outlive, but when she loses the vote, she and the remainder of her Fee must stand down, throwing the EU political sphere into chaos.
